It is Safe to Return
By Isaac Munene
The prophet Isaiah wrote that "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way". From time to time we as the sheep of His pasture can stray from the fold and depart from the presence of the good shepherd. Thank God for he is willing to leave the ninety-nine and seek out the one to bring him home safely. In Luke 15, Jesus told the parable of the lost son who asked for his inheritance and used it carelessly to satisfy his every whim. But when famine broke out in the land that he had departed to, he came to his senses and returned to his father's house. Sometimes, we too leave the Father's presence and are drawn away to what Jeremiah called "broken cisterns that hold no water". However, like the lost son, we discover that whatever we have sought runs dry and the only resource that is everlasting is our heavenly Father. The lost son humbled himself and prepared his speech of repentance and confession. He anticipated an angry father that was ready to punish him and give him what he deserved. To his surprise he found a father that was not only eager for his return but ready to restore to him what he had lost. Often are we afraid of returning to our Father, after going astray, simply because we expect to be met with wrath. Yet He has a surprise for us too. He has been eagerly awaiting our return and is ready to restore to us all that we had lost when we left His presence-destiny, purpose, authority and intimacy. What awaits us is not the scolding of an angry God, but an embrace, a kiss and to our amazement, rejoicing to celebrate our return. Isaiah 55:7 says, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." If you are in a spiritual famine and you have come to the end of yourself, today the Father is looking for your return. Come home. Amen.

Dear Friends,
Spring is here, and it is the season of new life all around us! Most of all, it is the season that we celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ!
A Time to Engage We are fast approaching Easter Sunday, and we'd like to encourage you to engage some of the special events leading up to that time. Join us in special prayer gatherings on the mornings and evenings of April 1-3 (see below) as we seek God for our region. Then on Palm Sunday (April 5th) at 5PM we hope you can come to our first ever Passover Meal for the whole family.
Invite Your Friends! Invite your friends and family to our April 12th Easter Sunday gatherings. The morning Resurrection service at 10AM will include an egg hunt for the children, and the evening gathering at 6 PM will be a time of praise and special music.
Another great outreach and discipleship opportunity to invite others to is the Alpha Launch dinner on April 22nd. That night begins a 10-week journey of exploring the meaning of life, and what it means to have a relationship with God.
God Bless you!
