Greatest Influence

I recently had the privilege of speaking to our Junior High at one of their weekly chapel services. I started out by asking them about all the influences in their lives, good, bad, or otherwise. They came to the conclusion that everyday they are bombarded by tons of external pressures to conform to this world. However, they also concluded that they have an internal influence that is far greater than anything the world can throw at them.
1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. (NIV)
Sometimes we can forget who we are, and we need to be reminded that we have the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords living inside us.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? (NKJV)
It is through our relationship with the Lord that we find the strength to overcome. In Psalm 32:8 the lord states "I will guide you with My eye" (NKJV). As we look into the eyes of the Lord he will not only guide us, but we will know who we are, and truly be, more than conquerors.

 Dear Friends,
We have entered into the season of the Feast of Tabernacles on the biblical calendar. The first 10 days leading up to the Day of Atonement are referred to as the "Days of Awe". Let's remember His goodness and His faithfulness, and stand in awe of God's love!
Join us Sunday, as we continue a series called "Aligning with the Seasons of God". It's God's desire that we live in alignment with His heart, and bring His world into ours. We are also gearing up for 10 Days of Continuous Prayer. Sign up for a daily one hour slot between October 10-19, as we pray "on earth as it is in heaven" for our community, state, nation, and world.

| Siberia, Russia Ministry, October 2-15, 2008 |

History
After being force-fed atheism, Marxist ideology, and communism for 70 years, spiritual freedom came to Russia in the late 80s. New Life sent teams and helped to plant Krasnoyarsk Christian Life Church (KCLC) in Central Siberia in 1991. The Lord allowed us to be a part of igniting a revival that swept through Siberia. Since then, KCLC has mothered 10 churches, including VCLC in Vladivostok (near the border of China and North Korea), which is now mothering new churches on the east coast of Russia.
Purpose of this Trip
Pastor Caleb spent 5 months in Krasnoyarsk on a ministry team in the fall/winter of 1995, where he helped train the current leaders of KCLC and VCLC (Pastors Vladimir and Dima). Because of the relationalship built then and since, he and Rachel have been asked to come and minister to both churches this month. It is vital that apostolic purpose and prophetic encouragement come to God's work there, so another wave of revival is fanned into flame in this season of new beginnings. Please pray for our pastors during this season of ministry, and pray for our sister churches in Russia. Not only are these churches strategic for Siberia, but for the nations.
