May All Your Dreams
Come True
by Eric Lucan
One of Disneyland's slogans is "Where all your dreams come true". That's a great slogan and everyone loves Disneyland, but why do they get to claim that slogan? I want that to become the new slogan for the body of Christ. As believers, we need to dream and dream big. Let's not forget, we serve the God of the impossible, so why not dream big. This last Sunday night I shared on this topic of dreaming big out of the life of Joseph. In case you happened to miss it, here is a quick recap. Genesis 43:29-30 says "As he looked about and saw his brother Benjamin, his own mother's son, he asked, "Is this your youngest brother, the one you told me about?" And he said, "God be gracious to you, my son." 30 Deeply moved at the sight of his brother, Joseph hurried out and looked for a place to weep. He went into his private room and wept there." What was it about Benjamin that caused Joseph to retreat into another room and weep over the sight of his brother? For one, it is possible that this was the first time Joseph had seen his full brother Benjamin. Another reason he may have wept is because this encounter signified the fulfillment of a dream that was 22 years in the making. Joseph had been sold into slavery, imprisoned, and forgotten, but finally his dream came true. I think each of those factors led to Joseph's reaction, but more importantly, I believe Joseph experienced a new revelation throughout the process, and when he saw Benjamin, the 11th star of his second dream, he understood that everything he walked through for the past 22 years was God's plan all along. When that moment hit him, there was nothing else he could do but weep. Joseph realized something important: the God of his dream was more important than the fulfillment of his dream. God has given us all hopes and dreams. As we pursue them, it is important that we remember to pursue the Lord more than the fulfillment. If we focus on the dream, then we will also focus on the difficulties and doubts that come along with delay. After Joseph had this revelation, his response towards his brothers changed, and he declared that God sent him to Egypt and God set him in place. God was bigger than the dream. Is he bigger than your dream? If He is, then all His dreams for you will come true. |

Dear Friends,
We have entered into the season of the Feast of Tabernacles on the biblical calendar. The first 10 days leading up to the Day of Atonement are referred to as the "Days of Awe". Let's remember His goodness and His faithfulness, and stand in awe of God's love!
Join us Sunday, as a new series called "Aligning with the Seasons of God" begins. It's God's desire that we live in alignment with His heart, and bring His world into ours. We are also gearing up for 10 Days of Continuous Prayer. Sign up for a daily one hour slot between October 10-19, as we pray "on earth as it is in heaven" for our community, state, nation, and world.
Every Blessing, Caleb & Rachel

| Siberia, Russia Ministry, October 2-15, 2008 |
|

This morning Pastors Caleb and Rachel left for to Siberia, Russia, where they have been sent on a strategic season of ministry.
History After being force-fed atheism, Marxist ideology, and communism for 70 years, spiritual freedom came to Russia in the late 80s. New Life sent teams and helped to plant Krasnoyarsk Christian Life Church (KCLC) in Central Siberia in 1991. The Lord allowed us to be a part of igniting a revival that swept through Siberia. Since then, KCLC has mothered 10 churches, including VCLC in Vladivostok (near the border of China and North Korea), which is now mothering new churches on the east coast of Russia.
Purpose of this Trip Pastor Caleb spent 5 months in Krasnoyarsk on a ministry team in the fall/winter of 1995, where he helped train the current leaders of KCLC and VCLC (Pastors Vladimir and Dima). Because of the relationalship built then and since, he and Rachel have been asked to come and minister to both churches this month. It is vital that apostolic purpose and prophetic encouragement come to God's work there, so another wave of revival is fanned into flame in this season of new beginnings. Please pray for our pastors during this season of ministry, and pray for our sister churches in Russia. Not only are these churches strategic for Siberia, but for the nations.
If you would like to receive updates and partner in prayer for this trip, please send an email to klingesinsiberia@gmail.com.
