Revival Fire

I just returned from meetings with Todd Bentley at the Galen Center in downtown Los Angeles. It was an amazing experience to be in a room with almost ten thousand Christians worshipping God. As I looked around at all the hands lifted up and singing praises to our God, I was reminded once again of the religious freedom we have here in the United States. Not so for many Christians in other countries. I don't ever want to take that for granted.
I had heard about the Lakeland revival meetings in Florida and even watched them on T.V and on my computer. As I watched and listened, the first thing that came out of my mouth was, "I want to go!" I began to pray and just didn't feel released to go. So I waited. Soon I heard about Todd's plans to visit Los Angeles for two nights. I was excited about that. Wow! God knew all along that Todd Bentley was coming to ignite revival fire in California!

 Greetings in Jesus!
The Apostle Paul wrote that "The things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel." Every situation, even our weaknesses can further the gospel when our hearts are surrendered to God!
This is the time for the gospel to advance in the Bay Area, and in our community. This summer, let's lift up our eyes, and look at the people with the eyes of Jesus. There are lives, souls everywhere waiting to hear the good news!
Share the love of Jesus with someone. Listen to their story. Share the story of God's reality in your life. Be the light of Jesus to them. Invite them to church. The fields are ready for harvest! Let's do the work of the evangelist together!

Revival Fire

I wasn't sure what to expect that first meeting. The worship was glorious. Then the release of words of knowledge and healings began to happen. Testimonies were shared and faith was increased.The second night, the atmosphere in the meeting was electric! The crowd was hungry and wanted more of God. We worshipped for a long time. Then Todd arrived on the platform and shared his testimony. Afterward, he gave a salvation altar call. I will never forget what I saw. People - young people especially, began to stream down the aisles toward the altar. They seemed to keep coming and coming. My heart broke and I couldn't hold back the tears. God's goodness was overwhelming. All those young people responding to God was the most glorious sight.
There were approximately five hundred people that received salvation! The Pastor who hosted the event just stared at the people standing at the altar. Finally he said, "Wow, this is one of the largest salvation altars I've ever seen."
Todd also shared what he believed God was speaking over California. For Southern California - "goodness". For Northern California - "mercy". Todd shared how the two - goodness and mercy - would meet together.
The first thing that came to mind was how revival fire comes from God's heart of goodness and mercy. It doesn't always come in the way I expect, but when it comes, I know it's from my loving Father.
Psalms 85:6-7 says, "Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your mercy (unfailing love), O Lord, and grant us your salvation."
While in Los Angeles I received by faith the prayers that were intended to release God's fire. When I returned home, God's fire began to burn afresh in my heart. In the process, there were times of just waiting in his presence and allowing him to burn in my heart. That fire is still burning and I never want it to stop. I'm convinced that revival fire begins on the inside and then manifests on the outside.
Lately when I pray for the sick to be healed, there is a new excitement and faith that God is moving even when I don't see it. It doesn't matter to me if I don't see results immediately after praying. What I'm learning is that God is faithful, good, and full of mercy. Many times the person I've prayed for comes back later to tell me that they've been healed. God gets all the glory!
Allow Him to ignite your heart so that revival fire can be released through you to touch people in California and around the world.
