Grace and Peace to You!CalebRachel_colored

In Revelation 21:5, God says "Behold, I make all things new." This is His word to you!  This is a season of new beginnings. We are awakening to the goodness of the Lord, and the reality of His Kingdom. This is the day that the Lord has made!

Join us this Sunday as we gather in His Presence. May the Lord refresh you and your family as you shine for Him in this world!

New LifeThe gospel is to be preached everywhere, and God also
calls us to be involved somewhere specific. We are involved in missions
everyday in our own community, and we are supporting a growing network of international missionaries, projects, and outreaches at New Life.

We are currently receiving our annual faith promises for 2008 (March 2008-February 2009)

Introspection

Just like Starbucks, we need to evaluate ourselves.  This isn't just a business principle of setting up a system of measuring and conducting performance evaluations.  It is actually a Biblical command.  In 2 Corinthians 13:5 the Apostle Paul encouraged the Corinthians to "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you-unless, of course, you fail the test?"

It is vital that we take some time and close our doors to examine our heart.  Life is getting busier and busier.  Rather than give God our left over time, I encourage you to take some of your best hours and give them to God this week for a time of introspection.  Starbucks closed their doors during their peak evening hours to examine their core values.  Why not take a lunch hour this week to do the same?

Introspection

Eric Lucan

Last Tuesday, February 26, the world stood still.  Some people didn't even notice it while others were in a state of shock and awe.  Some prepared ahead for the unprecedented event, but some were caught off guard.  What happened?  For 3 hours, every Starbucks across the country was closed-7,100 locations in all.  The reasoning behind this bold move was brought on by the CEO, as he sought to re-energize and revive employees in their pursuit of the ultimate customer experience.

As believers, I think there is a lot we can learn from Starbucks' actions.  Since I don't even drink coffee myself, I can actually make that statement without bias.  Here is a company that is dominating the coffee world.  You can't go anywhere without finding a Starbucks.  We even have 5 in our town of Novato.  Regardless of their success, the company and CEO recognize there is still room for improvement.  Many times in our lives we wait for a failure before we strive for change, but what if we made conscious efforts to strive for holiness and perfection in our times of success?
