School of Dischipleship
Power for Living
A Study in the Book of Romans
In this 12-week, interactive and practical study we will look at Paul's great letter to the church at Rome -- the Bible's most complete presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You will learn foundational truths of the Gospel including how it is God's life and power working in us and not our own efforts which are the key to successful Christian living. You will also learn techniques to help you study the Bible in depth on your own. Each participant will be required to purchase a Study Guide (cost of $5) which will help you explore and apply the great truths of Romans.
School of Equipping
The School of Equipping will focus on equipping all believers to be naturally supernatural in every day life: at home, in the marketplace, on campus, and in the church. There will be practical training and activation in the gifts of the Spirit, and foundational teaching geared towards releasing the saints in their God-given destinies. "For the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ!" (Ephesians 4:12). Recommended prerequisite - School of Discipleship or Alpha Course.
School of Leaders
Leadership is influence! The School of Leaders is focused on developing leaders for Kingdom influence inside and outside the church setting. There will be specific training for specific areas of small group ministry (e.g. Home Groups, Core Groups, etc.) and other areas of service. This school flows naturally out of the School of Equipping (School of Equipping is the prerequisite), and is for everyone who is learning to lead or are already leading in some sphere of ministry.

Steven Khoury
Saturday, January 26, 2008
7 pm @ NLCC
On May 10, 1990 Steven Khoury gave his life to his Lord and savior Jesus Christ God has burdened Pastor Khoury's heart in a great way. He has shown him that Arabs can come to salvation; He has shown him that Jews can come to the MESSIAH; and that the people of Israel are losing hope in life. Seeing people bleed every day, and seeing a person one day and gone the next because of violence has made him appreciate life.
He is the youngest ordained Arab pastor in Israel and surrounding Arab countries. Pastor Khoury has been published in several books and interviewed by organizations such as CBN and the ICEJ. In 2007 he was the first evangelical leader to be invited to speak in the Jewish school district on the subject of the Christian Faith. He currently writes religious articles for Al-Quds, the largest Arabic newspaper in the Holy Land.

| LifeBlog (continued)
by Eric Lucan That principle is the revelation of the 8th day. The 8th day is the new day of the week, but it is the first all over again - just made new. The 8 people on Noah's ark weren't creation re-made, but creation renewed. In Jeremiah 18, Jeremiah went down to the potter's house and saw a vessel that became marred in the potter's hands. The potter didn't start with a new piece of clay, but reformed the piece that became marred. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that if we are in Christ, then we are a new creature. It goes on to say that old things have passed away and all things have become new.
I fully believe that in 2008, we are going to see the "new" come to the surface. the promises, words, destinies, and dreams are coming to birth. While it might be "new" new to us, it is the same identity and plan that God has always had for His people. Luke 2:21 says "on the 8th day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been concieved." On that day, the name wasn't just given, but it was publicly declared. In this year we must be a people that will allow the identity that God has for us to come to birth and be declared. In Luke 2:19, we read that Mary pondered all that was happening, but two verses and eight days later, Jesus' name and identity were declared. Rather than ponder the promise we must walk in what's new. | |

We have been hearing that 2008 is a new day, but what does "new" really mean for believers? The idea of "new" is often associated with getting rid of something that is old. Maybe you have traded in an old car to buy a new one or you have donated an old computer to make room for a new one. However, as believers, God doesn't just toss us out to move on to something else. He also doesn't just get us a new paint job like a car to make us look new or add more RAM like a computer to make us appear new. Instead, through his creative power, He makes us new. |

Gift of Love
February 16, 2008.
The purpose of
the project is twofold. To glorify God by helping the people of Marin County experience the love of God and Christ through the service project, and by providing an opportunity for the development and
deepening of relationships between individuals from
different congregations in Marin, hopefully resulting in greater love, care and unity between believers from various participating congregations.
Come be a part of what God is doing in Marin as His people join together in prayer for this upcoming event!
