CIFOR Guidelines
The Council to Improve Foodborne Outbreak Response (CIFOR) recently released its Guidelines for Foodborne Disease Outbreak Response (Guidelines). The guidelines provide detailed information and recommendations for each step in the detection, investigation, and control of foodborne diseases as well as useful background information.

Call for Proposals
The Public Health Preparedness Summit being held February 16-19, 2010 in Atlanta, GA will showcase best practice training models, tools, and resources that illustrate proven results in building and sustaining public health preparedness at the local, state, tribal, or national level. Abstracts for posters, sharing sessions, interactive sessions, and workshops will be accepted until August 13, 2009. 
 
Novel H1N1 Roundtable
This NACCHO-sponsored roundtable held Thursday, July 30 at 1:45 p.m. EST will provide participants with the opportunity to share experiences and lessons learned from the Novel H1N1 outbreak.  Registration is limited. To register, email Kate Peterson.
