Exploring Diversity through Dance!

Session 1: August 2-6
Session 2: August 9-13
Session 3: August 16-20

Full Day (recommended): 9am-4pm
Mornings: 9am-12pm
Afternoons 1pm-4pm


DANCEVERSITY World Dance Camp offers youth (ages 7-16) a world-class introduction
to dances from around the globe taught by a diverse team of professional performing
artists and instructors. Each week features an introduction to 8 styles of dance from
countries such as India, Turkey, Zimbabwe, Brazil, Indonesia, Haiti, Iran, Spain, and many others. Each week ends with an exciting and colorful performance.  Give your child the gift of dance and watch them glow with inspiration while getting physically fit and learning about the world!

Camp and Classes held at:
Ashkenaz Music and Dance Community Center
1317 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley CA

Tuition:
$300/wk full day, $150/wk half day (by April 1st)
$340/wk full day, $170/wk half day (after April 1st)

Discounts available for multiple week or multiple child registration.

Boys and Girls ages 7-16 are welcome to attend all weeks, though Session 3 (August 16-20) is especially designed for boys and features a team of inspiring male instructors representing many cultures around the world!

"Enchanting Dances from the Orient" taught by Hannah

Young students will delightfully swirl, twirl, and jingle through glittering scarves, artfully balance tea trays on heads, dance through a silken canopy, pas-de-deux with peacock feathers, and be inspired by the beautiful and joyful folkloric dances from North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia.  

Class Card: $100 for 8 classes (8 wks), expires 4/28
 
To register, please send Hannah an email to confirm.  Payments to DanceVersity can be made on the first day of class, or checks can be sent to: DanceVersity at PO Box 2404 San Anselmo CA 94979.   Drop-ins are welcomed, though consistency is strongly encouraged.  Drop-in rate: $15

Bring the entire family for a fun night of student and faculty performances, guest artists, and activities.   All proceeds will benefit the WHAT IF? FOUNDATION a locally-based organization dedicated to feeding and educating impoverished children in Port-au-Prince.
