The EPA recommends that 4pCi/L or higher concentrations of Radon are considered to be above the safe level. Within the last year we have seen radon levels as high as 30.8 with 34% of the tests having readings in excess of 4pCi/L.
The key to preventing problems is catching them while they are small.
Drain sediment from base of hot water tank.
Inspect bathtubs and sinks for caulking and leaks; repair as needed.
