The June "Honey-Do" List
Now that the rain is gone ~~ we hope!
  • Inspect crawl space or basement for water problems.
  • Check grading for settling or drainage problems and ensure gutters and downspouts are managing rainwater properly.
  • Replace deck boards that have rotted or have large cracks and any hardware that has red rust.
Tips & Tricks
Cleaner Windshields

Bird droppings, bug splatter and dirt obstruct your vision. While window cleaner or vinegar will take off most dirt, sticky stuff like tree sap can be removed with a lump of your kid's Play-Doh or seltzer water.

Tank Top Trivia

Keep slippery tops and dresses from sliding into a heap on the closet floor by looping wide rubber bands over the ends of their hangers.

A Tree Grows in Philly

Home Inspection NightmareNot quite sure where to start with this one. This was next door to the inspection house with a rather large tree growing out of the second floor wall! Would love to know what it looks like inside, but hate to inspect it.

Happy Father's Day
Tech "Care Package" for Dad
Do your parents often give you a "tech to-do" list?

Apparently this is a common situation. Google has created a website that offers more than 50 two-minute videos with step-by-step instructions on everything from how to cut and paste copy to creating a blog. The site is set up so that "kids" can email a tech support "package" to their parents.  The website allows the  selected video to be emailed to the recipient. Way too cool!

Home Inspection Checklist

Let's make the next deal a Win-Win situation

KeysAs Realtors® know, the home inspection is an important part of the home buying and selling process. The following is a checklist for Realtors® and Sellers to allow the home inspection proceed as efficiently as possible.

Please be certain that:
  • Doors are open or that keys/garage door openers are readily accessible.
  • Gas, water and electric utilities are on - especially for vacant or bank owned properties. Many deals fall apart because sellers refuse to turn on utilities.
