Message from NEW Regional Vice President
Kevin Drevik

Dear members of the industrial engineering profession, I am excited to be taking over as the Northeast Region Vice President. As a member of IIE for more than 15 years, I'm well aware of the benefits, training opportunities and networking potential of our professional organization. I believe a key component of my job is to demonstrate and provide value to all of the membership, be it professional chapters, at-large members, or student chapters. In the next few weeks, I look forward to talking with the chapter leaders and numerous at-large members, to assist me in determining how to move forward over the next three years. Some of the areas I wish to concentrate on include:
-
Better access to information, jobs and knowledge.
-
Professional training in the Northeast Region.
-
Ways to be more competitive in the market and make it easier to explain the benefits you bring to your organization.
If you wish to contact me, you can email be at kdrevik@aol.com. I look forward to hearing from each and everyone of you in the years ahead, as we continue to build this region and our profession. Regards,
Kevin Drevik |

We can honestly say that all of the events throughout the weekend were extremely well attended and ran smoothly. From the feedback we have received, students thoroughly enjoyed Saturday's HP Breakfast, the corporate speakers Saturday morning and the Ingersoll Rand Cocktail Hour and Banquet on Saturday evening. The speakers were all polished and had a great deal of valuable information to share regarding their companies, the IE industry on the whole, how to plan and manage your career, and how to go about problems and challenges you may face along your corporate journey. From the looks of all the pictures we're received and on students' faces during the events, the Beaver Stadium Tour and Campus Scavenger Hunt were also very well received. We look forward to sending a contingent to what is sure to be a great conference next year at Northeastern and wanted to thank you again for your participation in this year's event.
Sincerely,
Members of conference planning committee
