Greetings
For the past few weeks we have heard some wonderful uplifting presentations and testimonies in worship about how we are connected to different areas of mission and service through the United Methodist Church. These witnesses have spoken to our relationship, as individuals and a church community, from programs such as Outdoor & Retreat Ministries to Children's Hospitals and Programs to Red Bird Mission in Kentucky and finally through our own PADS Shelter Program. These amazing ministries represent our own mission as a congregation to share the love of God, uplift hearts, and transform lives. It has been a blessing to hear from youth and adults alike about the amazing ministries we are connected to.
This Sunday, September 23rd, in both services we will have a final opportunity to financially support the Rainbow Covenant Program. The Rainbow Covenant Program allows us to focus our financial giving, beyond regular offerings and tithes, to different local, regional, and international mission efforts which are represented by different color bands of the Rainbow. You may or may not know that many of the bands of the Rainbow have already been filled through special offerings and donation efforts throughout the year. These final four areas help us to complete the Rainbow!
Click here to see the many areas we have contributed to through the Rainbow Covenant Program. To be able to contribute as much as we do is a blessing and should be celebrated!
Peace,
Deacon Luke
