Practicing Extravagant Generosity:
Daily Readings on the Grace of Giving
October 7, 2011

Greetings!

Debbi Dickinson

2 Corinthians 8:24 NIV

I read the scripture from the Message which ends 'Let them see it for themselves!"  This says to me be a living example of God's Love and generosity.  I look at my beautiful growing daughter and the values she lives her life by today.   She did not learn them by me telling them to her; she learned them by watching and emulating my life and the values I live.  Verbally I have identified the actions we do with words of Service Work, Giving, Grace and Love so she understands the context of what we are doing to God's work.  She understands we are allowing God to reach others through our actions.

By God's grace I have been blessed with so many rich gifts in my life. I believe God calls us to be of service to others so that they too can experience his grace.  I strive to live my life the way God intends for me to live; by serving others I have found people attracted to the values and life that Danielle and I live and many have asked ... How do you Do it.   I know at moments like this God is working through me to guide one of his children back to him.  I am always humbled and in a place of gratitude for being generous with my time to be God's servant.
