Kingswood Connected

June 9, 2011

Greetings!

Thoughts from the PastorMargaret Annual Conference 2011

Last week  I wrote that we would be at Annual Conference this week.  Well, here we are.  As I write, we're taking a ballot to elect delegates to General Conference, we've sung many songs and are continue our "holy conferencing."  Yesterday at the opening Memorial Service we remembered clergy, clergy spouses and lay members of annual conference and learned of the death of Cheri Magrini's son this week. Some of you know that Cheri was on the staff at Kingswood for a number of years.  Some of you may also remember that last year she was at Kingswood and told us of her upcoming trip to the Camino de Santiago in Spain.

Conference ... as life ... offers us such a mixture of things.  Please pray for our Annual Conference meeting, for the Magrini family and for God's grace and presence in it all.

Blessings,

Rev. Margaret GramleyBeth Annual Conf 2011

Drive it Home Clean!

Youth Mission Trip Squeaky Clean Car Wash

On Sunday June 12, have your car washed while you worship by the Youth Mission Trip participants.

Simply, leave your car parked in the front lot when you come to worship service (roll up the windows and close the sun roof unless you want the interior washed as well!).  As you leave the parking lot after the service in your "squeaky clean" car you will have the opportunity to give a free will offering to support the youth as they travel to Texas in August to work on homes damaged by Hurricane Ike.

If you do not wish to have your car cleaned, please park in the rear lot.  If you need to use the handicap parking just ask a volunteer to skip your car.
