With summer upon us, what better way to jumpstart our imaginations than with a book? This year's Summer Adventure Camp theme is Classic Children's Literature and each week campers will crack open a new world, cooking, dancing, singing and playing their way through some of the greatest stories ever written.
Despite a full day of fun and games, it can often be difficult for a child to answer an open ended question like "What did you do at camp today?" With that in mind, we have provided a few highlights from the week to open up the conversation between you and your camper. |

WEEK 11
Horton Hears a Who
"A person's a person no matter how small."
- Who needs a lab coat? Our Kids Club scientists observe the small world around them in the classroom with a number of tools. Can you name the different parts of a microscope?

- "We've got to make noises in greater amounts!" Ask your camper to play you some jingle jangle from their handmade tambourine.
- The NYKC Top Chefs prepare a masterful feast fit for an elephant. What ingredients did you put in the Beezlenut Stew? What did it taste like to you?
- We get wild when we explore the Jungle of Nool. What did you see? What utensil did you use to carry the clover through the through the jungle obstacle course?
- Lizards, and monsters, and crocs, oh my! What creatures did you encounter in the underground sea? How did you defend your boat?
