Dear Parents,
This week we will be exploring the much-loved and exciting subject of Dinosaurs! During interactive playtime the children will have the opportunity to visit various dinosaur "stations". They will complete dinosaur puzzles, play with dinosaur figurines and identify pictures of different dinosaurs. Children will have the opportunity to let their imaginations run "wild" during art as they create a 3D clay dinosaur and adding neon paint. The students will be encouraged to show and share the dinosaurs they've created. "We are the Dinosaurs" will be our song of the week. Try this favorite Laurie Berkner song at home with your little dinosaur!
We are the dinosaurs -marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs - what do you think of that!
We are the dinosaurs -marching, marching
We are the dinosaurs -we make the earth flat
We make the earth flat.
(And then we Rooooooaaaaaaaaarrrrr!)
Work on bringing those knees up high and marching around the rug while showing off a great dinosaur face and roar.
During our science exploration the students will explore squish bags. Squish bags are clear, tightly sealed bags filled with a variety of interesting items to view and touch. From bags of green sticky slime, to bags filled with colorful sand the children will be interacting with an exciting assortment of colors and textures.
Sincerely,
 Gair Morris Director
