Dear Parents,
The stars and stripes hang proudly in the New York Kids Club this week as we celebrate Independence Day. Students will learn more about this special patriotic celebration throughout the entire red, white, and blue themed week!
Each child will create his or her own firecrackers in art by decorating cardboard tubes with paint and stickers, adding yarn to the ends for a burst of color, and filling the tube with beans for explosive sound effects. They will also practice color recognition and counting as they add the stickers and beans to their 3-D art project.
Our song of the week is sung to the tune of "Yankee Doodle" and students will have a mini-parade in the gym to practice marching to the beat!
At this time of the year when we come together to celebrate our history and take pride in our roots, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for being an integral part of our New York Kids Club community. As stated in our mission, we are committed to a hiring policy that selects only talented, professional and enthusiastic personnel who dedicate themselves to the success of our students. We pledge to maintain a modern facility that is clean and safe at all times, and that utilizes an up-to-date curriculum in promoting the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of every child. It is our priority to keep you up to date with your child's progress. With that in mind, I encourage you-as always-to share your reactions, suggestions, and questions with instructors, location managers, and myself as it is the best way for us to continue to grow and improve our program.
Sincerely,
 Gair Morris Director |
