Headmaster's Greeting |
Our Christian Worldview
In school we teach classes about history, literature, science, geography, mathematics, art, music, and theology. This division of knowledge makes it easier to teach and to understand the material in an organized and systematic way. Undergirding and pervading all of these classes at Memorial Lutheran School is our Christian worldview; that is, our basic assumptions or presuppositions about life.
Think of a worldview as a set of eye-glasses that you wear to understand the world. As it is with eye-glasses, so also we need the correct "prescription" to see the world rightly. A correct worldview enables us to see reality as it is while an incorrect worldview distorts our understanding of life. The question is: Which is the correct worldview "prescription"?
Thanks be to God for giving us the full riches of complete understanding. In His word He warns us against false philosophies, and He reveals that the only correct worldview "prescription" is found in Jesus Christ. He is the Alpha and Omega of history (Rev. 22:13). He sustains all things by His powerful word (Heb. 1:3). He is the One in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Col. 2:3).
Our worldview at Memorial Lutheran School is rooted and grounded in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we learn of Him, study His word, and diligently work in every area of study to take every thought captive and make it obedient unto Christ (2 Cor. 10:5).

Join the Parent Teacher League! |
Our Parent Teacher League needs you! This important group works to better the school through its sponsored activities. Last school year our PTL donated funds to the playground renovations. Their first big event is the Fall Festival.
Click on the link below for the PTL sign-up form. Dues are only $20 per family, and these funds help with initial Fall Festival expenses. If you would like to join the PTL Board, please let the school office know. Our PTL Treasurer's son graduated, but she is willing to help out until we can find her replacement. Thank you for your support of our Parent Teacher League! PTL Sign-Up Form |
Easy School Fundraising with Box Tops for Education |
Memorial Lutheran School participates in the Box Tops For Education program. This is one easy way for you to help support Memorial Lutheran School. There are so many products that you purchase on a regular basis at the grocery store - from snacks and cereals to frozen products. Simply click on this link, http://www.boxtops4education.com/, and sign up. This is an easy way for our school to receive bonus box tops! Last school year we raised almost $900 by sending in our box tops. Cut out the box top coupons from the products and give them to your child's teacher. Mrs. Fredenburg collects the box tops each month from the classrooms and has a volunteer bundle them. Then we send the box tops in for cash! Look for a special flyer being sent home. Thanks for your support!
