PORTILLO 2009
There was so much snow we barely made it up the mountain...
...almost all of us transferred into hotel vans to make it up the switchbacks on Saturday. Then the road was closed until Monday afternoon when Larry DeWeil made the team complete. With such phenomenal snow - 40 inches on top of 8 feet in the previous two weeks - we had a great time skiing and laughing and... The weather got better and better as the week went on. What a great group of people sharing an enchanting place and time!

We will be staying at Le Tsanteleina Hotel,
recently
promoted to four stars
and located in the center of the
village. Le Tsanteleina's Spa has received great reviews. Val D'Isere
comprises, along with neighboring Tignes, La Plagnes, and Les Arcs, a
vast ski circus with nearly 116 lifts accessible on one lift ticket. It
is an eclectic town with chic boutiques, excellent restaurants, and an array of night clubs.
The
trip
