JOB FAIR #1     NEW COMMANDMENT BAPTIST CHURCH

The job fair on Thursday, January 14, 2010 was extremely successful!  Over 250 formerly incarcerated showed up and registered for orientation and testing for jobs as potential census takers and crew leaders.  In fact, many potential hires decided to attend the job fair the following week in South East Washington versus remaining in the line that extended out the church basement door and down the street.  The process was orderly.  Most of the gentlemen and ladies were patient and grateful.

JOB FAIR SITE #2            THURSDAY, JANUARY 21, 2010

The job fair held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 in South East Washington went beyond its expectation as well.  More than 400 formerly incarcerated registered for the jobs.  This is concrete proof that the formerly incarcerated want to work; they just need the opportunity.  Each week the crowd has been growing larger and larger, as well as securing larger facilities, and still the facility is not large enough!
