Grace Connection
Greetings!

The mission of the community of Grace Church is to reach people for Christ and to help those who believe in Christ become more like Him.  But what does that really mean?  How do the ministries of Grace Church fulfill that mission?  And most importantly, how can you and I be part of that mission?

This month the Grace Connection will continue a four month series which began in August and focuses on the Four Core Values of Grace Church.  The next Core Value?  Grace Church values Spiritual Growth.  If you're wondering how you might begin to grow spiritually, let's begin with the first step...Discover Grace...

Perspective by Joel Walters
Joel Walters I love gardening, but admit to my frustration of keeping a garden growing.  I accept the weeds - I guess they are a part of the fall.  What I have a more difficult time with is plants that don't grow the way they are supposed to.  I have a couple of plants in particular that just never seem to produce new growth or bloom.  They are alive, but they just don't seem very healthy.  I've fertilized, cultivated around them and watered them.  I supposed the next step is to just ...more

Ministry at Grace by Laura Hall
Craig and I are very grateful to have the opportunity to meet weekly with those wanting to know more about growing their relationship with God and Grace Church.  God has blessed us as He uses Discover Grace to help move families from being guests to part of the family of Grace.  It is the heartbeat of Grace Church leadership to see every person at Grace moving forward in their Spiritual Growth.  Growing spiritually is pursuing a life filled with Christ, digging into the Word, praying in faith, living in relationship with believers, serving others and sharing a relationship with Christ with others.  Discover Grace gives the framework to Run the Race offering information and resources to Join the Team, Warm-up with connecting with a Life Group or GBF at Grace, Starting Line by discovering Spiritual Gifts, and finally Run the Race.

Discover Grace is a (continuously running) three-session class using Run The Race curriculum which meets during the 9:00 AM hour in the Commons area.  For more information contact Craig or Laura Hall.

Prayer Focus
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord,      meditating on it day and night.
They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.  Psalm 1:1-3

1.  Pray God would help you "sink your roots deeply into Him."
2.  Ask God to show you at least one person this month for whom He wants you to be a reflection of Christ.
3.  Pray for wisdom for Grace Pastors, Elders and Deacons as they lead the body.
