Greetings!
Isaiah 40:31 reads, "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint."
Now THAT's strength! Soaring high, running without weariness and walking without fainting. All this for those who trust in the Lord!
Two weeks ago, my husband and I took a little trip to El Paso. Climbing Franklin Mountain I realized in spite of my newly acquired work-out regime, I tired quickly. I guess that's not unlike my spiritual life...when it's done from my own strength instead of trusting in the Lord...well, I tire quickly. This month we'll hear a lot about strength - the spiritual kind of Isaiah 40 which comes as we trust the Lord, and physical strength...the kind the Power For Life Strength Team will demonstrate right here at Grace. As God stretches our spiritual muscles in ways they may not have been stretched before, may He reveal Himself to those who come through the doors of Grace to hear the Power For Life message and seize the opportunity to trust the Lord.
