Greetings!

God has been stretching me lately...physically (sometimes aging isn't all it's cracked up to be), emotionally (relationships can be sticky) & spiritually (He's always faithful to give me opportunities to grow my faith).  Is He stretching you too?  Have you seen Him growing the body of Grace as a whole?
 
I've been camping on Philippians 3:12-14 - in a nutshell it says, "Forgetting what lies behind me and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on!"   In this month's newsletter we'll learn more about the Phase 3 building, how the building and fundraising process is going and remember that is more about being the church rather than just building a church.   We'll also learn more about the incredible opportunity we have to share Christ's love with our community this April through the ministry of Power For Life.  Every bit of it is a stretching process for that God will use to continue to move His kingdom forward to conquer territory as He works in us.  So friends..."Press on!"

They're not just numbers...it's ministry potential...

You may remember a couple weeks ago Don Thoes, the head of the financial team for the new building, shared some numbers about our progress toward the capital campaign.  The numbers were:

$591,374 Total Pledges  
$426,514 Giving to date

$164,860 Outstanding pledges

$123,143 Additional giving received (unpledged/above pledged amount)

Numbers don't excite everybody, but I think these numbers tell an exciting story of the faithfulness of God through the family of Grace ...more.
 
Ministry Opportunity  
 
The POWER FOR LIFE Strength Team will be visiting area schools April 8, 9, and 10, 2009 encouraging children and youth to pursue education, integrity and character telling their story through feats of strength.

7:00 PM, April 8, 9, 10 and 11, 2009,
The POWER FOR LIFE Strength Team
will be sharing Christ, the source of their strength with even more feats of strength at Grace Church!

How can YOU be involved?
  • Pray
  • Contact your school to schedule an assembly
  • Donate a NEW MP3, IPOD, XBOX, (appropriate) Video game for nightly give-away's
  • Help make a meal
  • Work with nightly Stage Crew

Prayer
Following Ephesians 6:18 which says, "and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."  Please pray for:
 
1.  Easter Evangelistic outreach
  • Opportunities to get in area schools
  • Volunteers for each of five crusade nights
  • Hearts prepared for God's truth.
  • Preparation of believers at Grace Church to help new believers mature
2.  Homework Club and connections with those families
3.  A heightened spiritual focus for the Grace Church body during difficult economic times
