It's Christmas time and we at Avnet Client Solutions would like to wish you happy Christmas. This year we have taken an interest in two charities that we would like to share with you - Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and Bothar.

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind: Little Hector, is a German Shephard pup "adopted" by Hector O hEochagain on his 2fm radio show for the Irish Guide Dog for the Blind. Some of our staff are following Hector's progress and we thought it would be a nice idea to support him on behalf of all our customers and friends as part of a Christmas appeal.

On behalf of you our customers Avnet Client Solutions presented a cheque to The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind to assist in the training of puppy Hector.

Hector_2Hector is part of a litter of 10 and he was selected by the listeners of Hector O'hEoghagain radio programme to be adopted by IGDB and trained over the next 2 years to work as either a guide or assistance dog.

 

Our Christmas donation will go a little way to helping Hector complete his training and to take on the role of changing the life of a sight impaired or autistic person.

Bóthar

BotharOur second charity in 2010 is Bóthar. 

 

Bóthar establishes families in micro-farming units by giving them the living gift of a farm animal. The enclosed Santa hat is for you to keep and to be worn with fun and in the spirit of the holiday season. Our contribution to the charity Bothar will help them in delivering on their motto of "Helping people to help themselves"

This year we posted out a bulk number of Bóthar Santa hats to many of our customers.
