    The Tempest

The south central Kentucky region certainly proved it has talent at last Friday's "American Idol" auditions, and this week presents yet another opportunity to see some of that young talent on the SKyPAC stage. Performed by the Capitol Arts Youth Theatre, The Tempest is a full scale musical based on Shakespeare's classic play, and an original world premiere musical written especially for SKyPAC and the young people of this community.

It tells the story of the magician Prospero who is removed from his dukedom and banished to a remote island by his wicked sister and her accomplice the queen of Naples. Filled with romance, drama, comedy, and spectacular scenes of sorcery, the Tempest has always been one of Shakespeare's most popular plays.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors/ students, and $8 for children 12 and under. Call 270-901-1880 or visit the link below for more information.
