11th Annual Spirits in the Cave

As the site of a former "underground nightclub," it's no surprise that one of the community's best fundraisers takes place at Lost River Cave! Get ready to eat, drink and bid at the 11th Annual Spirits in the Cave event, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky. For the past ten years, this event has featured an extravaganza of local establishments in the highly-favored food and beverage show. Dance to the sounds of live music from local band Poison Karma and bid in the silent auction while enjoying the cool breeze from the cave.

Simply click on the link below to order tickets... they sell out fast! The website also features participating vendors and a list of top-value silent auction items. Credit card payment will be accepted at the silent auction check out for the first time ever.

The event is made possible with the support of presenting sponsor English, Lucas, Priest & Owsley. All of the funds raised go towards the agency's mentoring programs, which serve over 350 children in Warren, Barren and Allen counties. Tickets are $40 per person. Call 270-781-1180 or e-mail maria@bbbsky.com for more information.

11th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Nationals

The 11th Annual Quick Fuel Technology NMCA Muscle Car Nationals featuring the Dave Duell Nostalgia Super Stock Classic event rolls into town this weekend. According to their website, "This awesome event will bring the stars of the NMCA to one of the most picturesque drag racing settings in the entire country, nostalgic Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky." We couldn't agree more!

Over 50 Nostalgia Super Stockers were on the property last year, so if you're a fan of the old-time hot rods battling it out for supremacy in the perfect setting, you need to head out to the strip. In addition to all of the action that will take place on the quarter-mile, the NMCA's car show features over fifty different awards that are presented each day of the show.

Follow the link below for a full schedule and more details, or call Beech Bend at 270-781-7634.
