Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion
It's the hottest event of the year in Bowling Green as some of the coolest cars in the country make the trek to Beech Bend Raceway for the 10th Annual Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion this week! This festival of speed, hot rods and American automotive enthusiasm kicks off Thursday and features loads of family-fun activities such as Hot Heads nostalgic drag racing, the sensational Cacklefest and SoffSeal Show N Shine.
Chosen as one of the "10 Premier U.S. Events" by Painless Performance & Street Rodder Magazine and named one of Kentucky's Top 10 Summer Festivals & Events, the 10th Anniversary promises more entertainment than ever! Can't make it out to the track? Head over to the Sloan Convention Center for the Kick-Off Party Thursday at 6 pm or for the Reunion Reception Friday at 7 pm, both free and open to the public.

Ice Cream & A Moovie
By far one of our favorite family-friendly, summer events, Ice Cream & A Moovie at Chaney's Dairy Barn is something every child visiting or living near Bowling Green should experience! Head down on the farm this Friday or Saturday night to see The Muppets, a live-action musical comedy and the first Muppets theatrical release in 12 years. Even if you've already seen it, the feel-good escapades can be enjoyed even more in the great outdoors.
Spread out the blanket or set up the lawn chairs and get comfortable under the stars for a FREE movie... it doesn't get much better! Concessions are available, so please no outside food or drink, and be sure to savor some delicious home made ice cream. The 'moovie' series continues every other weekend through September 8.
