    2012 NCM Bash

    This weekend kicks off the Corvette event season here in Vette City as the National Corvette Museum hosts the 2012 NCM Bash featuring new models, new tours and new activities. Not just for Corvette owners, this event serves as the perfect introduction to the Corvette family with seminars, demonstrations, 2013 Corvette Walk-Around, rides in the Museum's 1963 vintage racer Z06, Ladies' Oasis, poker runs, road tours, car shows and more!

    Explore the region with trips to Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry, Park Mammoth Resort's Cave Valley Winery, Rough River State Park, Glendale and the Maker's Mark Distillery, and even local Civil War sites. Festivities wind down Saturday evening with the Bash Banquet at the Sloan Convention Center featuring BG Assembly Plant Manager Dave Tatman.

    The Southern KY Performing Arts Center welcomes the legendary Leon Russell on Saturday, but if you're looking to experience another segment of performing arts this weekend, head up on the Hill for the WKU Department of Dance Evening of Dance. This concert features the WKU Dance Company performing an array of dance styles and top notch artistry with choreography by WKU dance faculty and guest artist Carlos dos Santos, Jr.

    Mr. dos Santos, an internationally known dancer, choreographer and teacher, has performed as a principal dancer with major Brazilian and U.S. dance companies, including the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble, Complexions, and DanceBrazil. You don't want to miss this exhilarating evening of dance to close the Mainstage season. Tickets are just $10 per person.
