The British Invasion
The Who, Pink Floyd, The Moody Blues... the 1960s saw an influx of English pop and rock legends into the United States, and Orchestra Kentucky brings us their hits this weekend in the newest Retro Series concert, British Invasion. Featured will be songs from Dusty Springfield, Lulu, Tom Jones, The Hollies, Petula Clark, The Who, The Animals, and more.
"Groups like Pink Floyd, The Moody Blues, and the Rolling Stones are great for us, because they used big orchestrations on the recordings," said Orchestra Kentucky Music Director Jeffrey Reed. The concert will be the orchestra's last at Van Meter Hall before moving to their new home at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 270-846-2426 or visiting the link below.
