    Oklahoma!

WKU Department of Theatre and Dance opens their 2012 Mainstage Season this weekend with Oklahoma, one of the world's most popular musicals. Come be transported to the early days of Oklahoma's history as you watch WKU students kick up their heels and entertain with a story of young love. You're sure to leave the theatre humming such favorites as "Surrey with the Fringe on Top" and "People Will Say We're in Love."

Oklahoma is being directed by WKU Alum Jeremy Benton who was last seen on Broadway playing Billy Lawlor in the classic musical 42nd Street. Performances take place at Van Meter Hall on Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for students. Call 1-800-5BIG-RED for advance tickets or purchase them at the door.

    Bowl for Kids' Sake 2012

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky is certainly putting the 'fun' in this year's Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser with a "Totally Awesome 80s" theme! Bowlers will enjoy 80s decorations, music, a costume contest, and can even earn an 80s-themed t-shirt as a prize. New this year is a special Night Bowl on Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to midnight. The festivities continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and again on Sunday from 12:30 to 4 p.m. before the fun rolls to Glasgow on March 3.

This is the agency's largest fundraiser, providing a major portion of the budget and allowing them to serve over 350 children in Warren, Barren and Allen counties. You can still register your team of five at the link below or pop in as a spectator and donate on site.
