    Desserts First

Girl Scout Cookie season is upon us, so kick in the new year by sampling delicious creations featuring the iconic cookies while supporting a great organization at Desserts First on Thursday. At this annual fundraiser, the finest restaurant chefs create original desserts using the well-known Girl Scout Cookie varieties as the key ingredient and present them for tasting.

This signature event is open to the public and will create an opportunity in which guests may network and enjoy an evening with friends, while sampling delicious, one-of-a-kind desserts created for this event. The evening will also include hors d'oeuvres, silent auction tables, a judging crowning the best dessert of the event, and many more surprises! Visit the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana link below or call 270-842-8138 for more information.

    Family Fun Day

It can be tough to find productive ways for children to spend their time during winter weekends. On Saturday, make it a one-stop day at the National Corvette Museum as they host Family Fun Day and kick off a new kid-friendly exhibit. It's a Nano World (on display through April 15, included with museum admission) explores the biological wonders of the nano world that are too small to see with your own eyes.

Family Fun Day is a FREE event including arts & crafts stations, face painting and inflatables, vendor booths featuring games and activities, and DJ Tim Livingston spinning family-friendly tunes. Come out even earlier to enjoy a separate, ticketed Character Breakfast and dine with your favorite "characters" including Big Red, Axle the Hot Rods Bear, Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, Cinderella and more! Follow the link below or call 270-781-7973 for more details.
