13th Annual NMRA All Ford World Finals

For the final stop of the Keystone Automotive NMRA Ford Nationals, Pro Media heads to the rolling hills of Bowling Green and Beech Bend Raceway for the All Ford World Finals event. As the final event, this is not only one of the NMRA's oldest, but hands down the largest. With over 400 heads-up race cars attending last year, you can expect close to 500-600 packing the raceway this year.

You'll witness the best in Ford street legal racing action all weekend, or bring your Ford muscle car, hot rod, truck, or specialty vehicle for a chance to win one of over 50 awards each day in the Car Show. A Manufacturer's Midway and Swap Meet, Jet Car Shooting, Burnout Contests, King of the Street Competition and more round out the motor action. 3-day or single day spectator tickets are available. Call 270-781-7634 or visit the link below for more details.

    SKYMAC Bluegrass Circle Burn

There is an exciting sport taking off in Bowling Green this weekend... one that was the #1 hobby in America in the late '50s and early '60s! The Southern KY Model Aero Club is once again hosting the Bluegrass Circle Burn this year on its 75-foot control line circle. With two strings attached, flyers hold one of these strings by a handle, move it up and down, and the plane follows the same movement, flying 'round and 'round.

Control Line flying evolved into a standard contest doing maneuvers like loops, figure eights, inverted flight, and wing-overs, all flown in a sequence. Later, Control Line Speed evolved and these control line model planes have achieved speeds of up to 190m mph! Admission for spectators is just $10 per carload or $5 per person and concessions will be available. For more information, visit the link below or call 270-404-6846.
