Hobo Ball & Hobo Times Exhibit

It's not often one of our area museums opens a new exhibit with a Ball, but tonight's Hobo Ball at the Historic Railpark & Train Museum is very fitting to celebrate its new Hobo Times Exhibit. Dress in your best hobo attire and you may even win prizes! Food, drink and music by Barren River Trio will be available and tickets are $15 each or 2 for $25.

But if you can't make it for the Ball, be sure to visit the Museum soon to experience the history and mystique of Hobos through Hobo Nickel folk art, Hobo symbols and a Hobo Jungle. Hobo Symbols appeared on buildings, fences and trees as a means of communication telling other travelers of the good or bad experiences to expect there. Creative Quilters Guild, a local quilting group, has re-created Hobo Symbols into fabric art.
