Welcome to our weekly "What's Happening" email, designed to provide you with a glance at opportunities for an unbridled good time in the Bowling Green area.

There's an epidemic in Bowling Green, but it doesn't affect your health, just your attitude! The 'i love bg' campaign reflects how thankful we are for this great community in which we live, work and play. Now it is time to celebrate! This Saturday is 'i love bg' Day and many local businesses will be offering discounts or specials to customers all day before a special 'i love bg' night at the Bowling Green Ballpark.

The team's special 'i love bg' jerseys will be auctioned at the end of the game, and a portion of the ticket price goes back to help spread the love when using promo code ILOVEBG.

Be sure to grab your button at the Visitors Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce or Blue Cotton because you'll need to be wearing merchandise on Saturday to receive many of the discounts.

You may have seen some of the visiting Navion airplanes in town last week, and this weekend offers another chance to look to the skies for entertainment. However, these pilots will be on the ground and the aircraft will be executing aerobatic tricks of wonder! It's the Southern KY Model Aero Club's 2011 Bluegrass Jet Jam and some of the nation's top pilots will be in attendance.

Witness these model jets as some exceed 200 miles per hour! With flying from daylight until dusk beginning Thursday and continuing through Saturday, there are plenty of opportunities to catch a glimpse of these exciting jets.
