Welcome to our weekly "What's Happening" email, designed to provide you with a glance at opportunities for an unbridled good time in the Bowling Green area.

It's time once again for some rip-roaring fun out at the historic stands of Beech Bend Raceway Park as the Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion comes rolling into Bowling Green this weekend! Featuring loads of family-fun activities such as the sensational Cacklefest Saturday night and the SoffSeal Show N Shine, the Reunion brings to life the sights, sounds and people who made history in the early days of drag racing.

Highlights of this year's Reunion include a Mopar HEMI Challenge, the Ford Drag Team, Father's Day Hot Wheels giveaway, the Wild Winged Express, Grand Marshal "The Greek" Karamesines and more! Admission Friday and Saturday cost $20 per day and Sunday is only $15. Children under 16 are admitted free when accompanied by a paid adult.

The pubic is invited free of charge to Thursday afternoon's ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. followed by the Heacock Cruise, and then Friday night's reception beginning at 7 p.m., both at the Sloan Convention Center. Call 270-781-7634 or visit the link below for more information.

It's going to be another scorching weekend in Bowling Green, so why not enjoy some indoor entertainment presented by local theatre troupe Fountain Square Players? This Thursday through Saturday evening and again Sunday afternoon, FSP will be performing Seven Brides for Seven Brothers by Lawrence Kasha and David Landay, with music by Gene de Paul and Joel Hirschhorn. Writers Guild of America says, "Best written American musical," and the show received an Oscar for best music and scoring of a musical.

Synopsis: Adam, the eldest of seven brothers, goes to town to get a wife. He convinces Milly to marry him that same day. They return to his backwoods home. Only then does she discover he has six brothers - all living in his cabin. Milly sets out to reform the uncouth siblings, who are anxious to get wives of their own. The show is fun, fast-paced, sometimes raucous, sometimes sweet, and always entertaining. With seven great songs, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers proves to be a lusty, mirthful, girl-stealing musical!
