Greetings!
GET MORE TIME!
7 ways to create more time
Time. Would you like more of it? We all have
the same amount of time but why is it that some people seem to do more with it?
One of the areas that I coach clients on is effective time management. All our
modern conveniences are meant to be time-saving devices but in reality, we are
so busy that we have even less time than we used to!
IF YOU CAN GET MORE OUT OF
YOUR DAY THEN YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY GET MORE OUT OF YOUR LIFE. WASTE TIME AND
WASTE YOUR LIFE.
Following
are some simple strategies I share with clients. Keep in mind that it takes 21
days to build a new habit, but once in place, stress is reduced and more is
accomplished.
Remember though that not
everything will get done
Read the 7 ways below.

7 ways to create more
time
1. Go to bed 30 minutes
earlier. Go to sleep reading instead
of watching the TV. Use the time dropping off to gain something. Read. Even if
it's only a couple of pages. 2.Get up 30 minutes earlier each morning. Spend the time getting centred for your day. The age old simple habit
of writing a list of to do's for the day will never lose it's effectiveness. Put
tasks, pleasures and rewards on the list so you won't feel like your day is all
hard work. One thing could be getting out of the office and having a coffee
break.
3. Delegate. Are there things you feel that only you can do? I bet there are some
things you can let go of and let someone else pick up. Sure, it may not be done
exactly that way you would have done it, but it may be well worth the reserve
of extra time.
4.Use technology to manage time. Use voicemail to screen your calls and answer on your own schedule.
Check email at specified times of day, not continuously. Brainstorm on how
technology can help you, not make you busier.
5. Control your television
time. Several options here. Work
out what nights are TV nights. Have one, two or three TV FREE nights a week.
Another method is to work out what shows you want to watch and schedule those
into your week. Refuse to sit endlessly in front of the box watching crap that
will never makes a difference in your life. Use the time to do something else
you enjoy. Read, Take up a hobby. Join a group, Take a course. Volunteer.
6. Do more than one task at a time.Eat dinner while checking emails. Have brief chat with friends on the
mobile between exercises at the gym. Read personal growth books (ones that will
impact the way you think and live) on transport to and from work. If you drive
get a hold of good audio books and listen in the car. Learn from listening to
podcasts.
7.Schedule and make sacred time a priority. This includes time with yourself, your significant other, children, friends,
etc. When it comes down to it, these are the things that matter. This is what
counts in life and will recharge you so you have more energy Do you give to
everything else so that all you and the important people in your world get the
left over's?
In
truth, people can generally make time for what they choose to do; it is not
really the time but the will that is lacking. Sir
John Lubbock

When
I decided to take up "Dare to be Your Best" coaching program I was in the
middle of a crossroads with my career. The previous 12 months in my job had
been frustrating and unfulfilling. De-motivated and not confident about what my
next steps might be, coaching has pointed me in new directions and to see
opportunities I had not previously considered.
After
the first 12 weeks of coaching I have continued to meet with Anthony on a
fortnightly basis to plan and strategise, as I continue to build a successful
events management business. Anthony has been a pillar of support, regular
encourager and also a fantastic mentor. His support and guidance helped me set
goals, get through hurdles and achieve my ambitions. I have attempted to start
my own business in the past but was never able to get to where I am today.
Thank
you Anthony for your guidance and "push" to bring out the best in
me.
