15 THING I'VE LEARNT NO.8
Dear
Following on
from my previous
newsletter here is the next instalment of 15 things I've learnt about human
beings and success in 3,500 hours. No. 8 is "Without a COMPELLING
future your life progress is greatly reduced". You can read the precious
7 things I've learnt in the archives.
- Where will you be in 5 or 10 years time?
- What will you be doing?
- Where
will you be living?
- What will be your greatest achievements?
For many, the canvas of their future is blurry. It's only a sketch with a few vague ideas. The canvas of the future is completely blank for some. Their lives are governed
by the past and their current circumstances. They have become a responder to circumstances and not a creator. If
you have a clear picture of all that you want in your future then the subconscious
has the capacity to create strategies and circumstances that will make that a
reality.
Having coached a wide variety of clients for 8 years that are living
their dreams, I've seen, in real life, exactly how this works.
People often come to me with only a vague idea of what they really want.
The present is only the foundation; there are walls, rooms, décor yet to be
added. Have you ever driven past a deserted building site. Weeds have taken
over, debris is everywhere. Without a c
future this is the picture of how your life may end up.
How to create a COMPELLING
future
- Write down the
ten areas of life that are important to you. (if you are not sure what
they are ask for the free life balance assessment below)
- Dream of what
each of those areas might look like in 10 years time if things worked out
perfectly.
- Write down
all your hopeful major achievements in the next 10 years.
- Imagine you
haven't seen your favourite friend for 10 years and you are going to write
a letter to update them on your life from 2008 to 2018.
- Date the
letter in 10 years time. E.g. 24 April 2018
- Commence the
letter with the usual greeting and write. 'I can hardly believe that it's
been 10 years since we lost contact and I'm now (fill in how old you
will be on the 24 April 2008) years of age'.
- Detail, in
the rest of the opening paragraph, exactly where you are living. I.e.
city, country, house, apartment etc. Make it descriptive. Exactly what you
want.
- Then continue
the rest of the letter talking about all the different areas of your life
and how wonderful they are.
- Make sure you
include the changes in thinking and behaviours that made you so
successful, fulfilled and balanced.
- This letter
must be compelling, in that, it
excites, inspires and motivates you. It gives you a sense of purpose and
mission in life. It looks so fantastic you can't help but go after it.
If you want, email me your letter and I'll tell you what to do next. Read the inspiring piece, 'Your Life' below.

Your Life
Your presence is a
present to the world.
You're unique and one of a kind.
Your life can be what you want it to be.
Take the days just one at a time.
Count your blessings, not your troubles.
You'll make it through whatever comes along.
Within you are so many answers.
Understand, have courage, be strong.
Don't put limits on yourself.
So many dreams are waiting to be realized.
Decisions are too important to leave to chance.
Reach for your peak, your goal, and your prize.
Nothing wastes more energy than worrying.
The longer one carries a problem, the heavier it gets.
Don't take things to seriously.
Live a life of serenity, not a life of regrets.
Remember that a little love goes a long way.
Remember that a lot..... goes forever.
Remember that friendship is a wise investment.
Life's treasures are people.... together.
Realize that it's never too late.
Do ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Have health and hope and happiness.
Take the time to wish upon a star.

One of the Leading Self-Study Personal Development Programs in the World
Those who
make personal development a priority reap the rewards of greater
self-awareness, transformation in their thinking and have the tools to create
the results they want to achieve in life. It has become one a multi-billion-dollar
growth industry over the last decade. As there are so many products available
in this area, it's often difficult to decide which one which is the right one
for you. Most individuals and companies tell us THEIR program is 'life
changing'. One of the best ways to evaluate the effectiveness of a program is
to speak with an actual user we know and trust.
I came
across The Delfin Knowledge System™ (DKS) in 1998 which resulted in a genuine
life changing experience and has given me the tools to be where I am today. This
information was the turning point that helped me to discover my life purpose,
which I mention in my autobiography 'A Life of Unlearning - a journey to find the truth'. The 7-day conference I
attended in Mexico
in 1999 is also mentioned in Chapter 20, 'and the pieces finally fit'. At the conference I created a dream board
and I can honestly say that the majority of the amazing things I envisioned on
that board have come to pass. The board still sits in front of me in my
workspace as a reminder of what lies ahead in my future. You can see why the DKS
comes with my strong recommendation. If you'd
like to know more about this leading personal development self study program
then email me for details. anthony@athonyvennbrown.com
