Autumn is in the Air!
I love this time of year! The cooler temperatures are a welcome change from the blistering hot summer we had here in Georgia.
A big thank you goes out to the great team at Valpak.com. I want you all to know that working in partnership with this trusted source of online savings has been amazing. They believe in my product enough to expand their promotions to include Canada and I am thrilled to be reaching out to our neighbors to the North. TIP - Rain Check, Please!
A simple way to maintain savings.
Coupons are great when the items you are shopping for are in stock, but what happens when you locate an item on sale and/or an item you have a coupon for and it is sold out? What do you do?
1. Buy the next best choice with no coupon and keep moving
2. Skip the item, save the coupon until next time
3. Ask for a rain check
Depending on the item you may find yourself doing any one of the above things while shopping. However stores change prices frequently and in order to maintain the sale price as advertised your best bet is to ask for a rain check. The definition of rain check is an assurance to a customer that an item on sale that is sold out or out of stock may be purchased later at the sale price. All you need to do is take your sale circular to customer service and ask for a rain check for the item(s) out of stock. The circular will show the price to mark on the rain check.
So unless the item out of stock is a critical missing ingredient you need that day, then getting a rain check will ensure you receive the savings you deserve. |
TOOL - WOM Advertising
One way to receive more coupons!
Through VocalPoint, a FREE member based network from P&G, you will receive coupons in the mail for fun new products! The idea here is to pass along savings to others by word of mouth (WOM). Recently I received coupons for Vanilla Coca-Cola through my membership with Vocalpoint. I love Vanilla Coca-Cola and had fun handing Buy One Get One FREE coupons out to my friends.

| The Couponizer of the Month - OCTOBER 2007
Samantha Reinblatt
Lawrence, KS
Purchasing my Couponizer was one of the best investments I have ever made. I have kept track of all the money I have saved with my CoupTracker, and I was overwhelmed to see how much money I have been able to save each month. One month, I was able to save almost $40 by using my coupons.
The Couponizer also helps me to keep very organized. My shopping list in my Couponizer helps me to keep track of everything I need to purchase and what coupons I can use on my purchases. It has been such a relief going shopping and knowing that I am saving money on almost every shopping trip. My Couponizer is also easy to carry around in my purse. I take it with me everywhere I go. You never know when you'll need a coupon. I highly recommend the Couponizer to anyone who would like to keep better organized and save more of their money.
Thanks Amy for inventing such a brilliant product!
Samantha Reinblatt
Thank you Samantha, keep up the great savings!

The Couponizer Cook
Apple Oven Pancake
This pancake is one of our family favorites. It puffs up in the oven and is an easy autumn breakfast choice on a lazy weekend. A nice tart granny smith apple works best!
2TB stick margarine or butter
2 large eggs
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup milk
¼ tsp. salt
2TB packed brown sugar
¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
1 cup thinly sliced peeled baking apple
Heat oven to 400º. Melt margarine in a pie plate or ceramic tart pan (9 X 1 ¼ inches) in oven and then brush the sides. Beat eggs and flour, milk, salt, set batter aside. Sprinkle brown sugar over melted margarine and then arrange apple slices over sugar. Pour the batter over the apple. Bake 30-35 minutes and upon taking out of oven immediately loosen the sides. Flip onto serving plate and enjoy with maple syrup.
