Summer time is here! 
School is out for our family and this transition of the family schedule is exciting and at the same time can be costly. Keep a watch on the mounting list of supplies needed for the summer activities.
The stores are jam packed with every conceivable solution to meet your every summer need. Pool toys, swimsuits, sandals, coolers, deck accessories, insect repellant, sunscreen, gardening supplies, and this list goes on. Before purchasing these sometimes impulse items really evaluate whether you NEED the item. This simple strategy will end up saving you the most money in the long run. However, for the items you really need, look for available coupons for the best price. The grocery store I shop has coupons available right as you walk in the door. If you are in a hurry you might miss seeing them and miss out on the savings that are right there!

TIP - Find the right people to ask about prices! 
The people who stock the shelves of your grocery store know the prices!
One day when I was comparing prices of frozen waffles, the guy that was stocking the freezer gave me a price tip. He said, "If you wait until tomorrow, all the EGGO brands go on sale. It happens every Thursday." I replied, "So what other price tips do you have for me?" He went on to inform me of the sale cycles for other items. He also indicated that most of the stock clerks in the store can help you find the best prices since they see this stuff all the time! From time to time I see this nice man in the store and thank him for helping me save money. He then tells me of another impending sale so now I have a small notebook in my Couponizer bag and I have started taking notes!! |

Here I am opening my Couponizer! I was so happy when it arrived and even happier when I opened the package and saw all that it contained. Not only did I get the fabulous organizer, but also the grocery lists, scissors, a "coupon map" to aide in easy Couponizer placement and an awesome clear carrying case with enough room for not only the Couponizer but also my wallet; so everything I need to take to the store is ready to go without all the bulk it once involved.  The Couponizer Cook
Delicious on the grill!!
Sesame Salmon Fillet
1 salmon fillet (1 1/2 to 2 lbs)
2 TB cider vinegar
2TB soy sauce
1TB honey
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp Beer & Brats Mustard (Silver Spring brand)
1/8 to 1/4 tsp ground ginger
2 TB sesame seeds, toasted
3 green onions, sliced
Place 1 gallon plastic bag in coffee can or other container and bring sides over edge so the top is open. Add in the bag vinegar, soy sauce, honey, oil, mustard and ginger and mix well in bg. Add salmon to bag, coat all sides and marinate in refrigerator for one hour.
Broil the salmon or grill over medium high heat for 15 - 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions for a fresh finish.
