Greetings!
Happy Spring! May all your spring cleaning,
organizing and de-cluttering projects be successful!
I apologize for getting the newsletter out a
little behind
schedule this month. It is Spring Break this
week and we just returned from our family vacation.
While on vacation QVC scheduled me for an
appearance which I had to decline, so hopefully I will
be back on the air soon. When I know something, I
will send out the date.
Please take note of our new logo and affiliate banner
in the
Sponsor Links section. Soon we will have a
redesigned website which will be easier to navigate
and offer more money saving tools and links to
coupons and online deals.
Also, this month, I am starting the Ask Amy
section of the newsletter. I receive lots of
great questions via e-mail and want to share my
answers with you, my valued subscribers.
Thanks for your continued support. Happy Easter
and Passover,

Wife, Mother and President, The Couponizer Company

TIP - Lively Flavor, Low Cost, Little Time
A quick, cost saving way to perk up chicken, fish or pork.
Have you ever been in a rut with the flavors and
variety of fish, chicken or pork you serve your
family? I
have and I recently discovered a quick, low cost way
to add gourmet flavor to any fish or chicken. In
fact, it is so easy and flavorful; I might need to give
it a rest!
The best way to achieve the highest savings is to
buy pork, chicken or fish that is on sale. Boneless
chicken
breasts work well, any whitefish or salmon will
work also, but my favorite is boneless pork chops.
Begin by cooking the meat/fish by frying it
on a bit of oil and finishing it in a separate baking
dish a 350 degree oven. Then take the brown bits
from the pan and add a half jar of gourmet pepper
relish and 2TB balsamic vinegar. The brand of pepper
relish I use is Brawells of
Georgia, it costs under $4 online and less than
that in participating grocery stores. Within seconds,
you have a gourmet sauce
to pour over your pork, chicken or fish, and then
round out
the meal with rice and a vegetable. The taste is so
delicious, the cost is low and the best part is how
fast you can bring it all together.
Other uses for the pepper relish for an appetizer to
share at a family picnic, tennis match, or playgroup.
Simply pour the pepper relish right out of the jar over
a chunk of cream cheese and serve with crackers.
Also experiment with other flavors of relish and
gourmet jellies for variety. Enjoy!

The COUPONIZER of the Month
Dixie Pederson - Des Moines, Iowa
I was watching QVC one morning and saw "The
Couponizer" on I was intrigued, my husband rolled
his eyes thinking what a gimmick. I ordered one
after he left for work and started collecting coupons
and adding them to my new coupon system after the
first month of saving over $50.00 with this wonderful
tool, and showing my husband the proof (I now had
all in one place); his rolling of the eyes have
stopped! I plan on buying my mom one for Mothers
day.
Thanks for the great tool, Dixie

Ask Amy...
Advice on price!
Amy,
I live in a small town with one grocery store (no
supermarket). Sometimes I drive 20 miles to another
town where they double up to $ .50. I used to go 45
miles occasionally to shop at Homeland where they
doubled up to a $1.00, but they closed due to the
opening of a Super Wal-Mart. Any good suggestions
for my situation?
Donna Becker,
Okeene, OK
Donna,
Since you live 20 miles from the nearest grocery
store that takes coupons, then the goal is to make
the most of
every trip. Below are some suggestions that may
help keep your savings growing:
--- Double up your coupon supply by getting
extra
Sunday papers and calling manufacturers directly to
be added to their customer loyalty program. Most
companies have a website or a toll-free number is
listed on a product label.
--- Shop large supercenter grocery
stores since it can
yield big savings even if they do not double
coupons. Prices are low at these stores due to high
volume. However, steer clear of meat since it has
likely been frozen several times and not the
freshest.
--- Create a price book to record
fluctuations
in
prices
at different stores to find the best deals.
--- Invest in a freezer and buy meat in bulk
from a butcher. Also build extra shelves for
your
garage. This way you may stock up on
frozen foods, canned goods, paper products and
other household items and reduce the number of
times you
need to drive to the grocery store.
--- Surf the Internet to find
coupons deals before
hitting the road. You may visit a site like Valpak.com
to find local deals by zip code or type in a search
engine a store name or restaurant or a particular
service (such as car rental, carpet cleaning, movie
rental, etc.) +
coupon to see if a deal is
posted online.
All the best savings!!
