The Smartest Ways to Save!

Irish Greetings!

Did you ever stop to think about how coupons are just miniature promotional opportunities?  Coupons extend the consumer a discount on a particular item for a period of time.  Sounds a lot like a car or appliance sale.  However, how many times have you been inspired to save money when making a large purchase due to a compelling promotional opportunity that really lines up with your needs?  Maximizing savings using coupons is the same thing, but on a much smaller scale.  The key to real savings is to find the coupons that match your needs and reap the combined savings consistently.

TIP -  Spring Cleaning Made Easy
By Connie Jennings, Marketing Director

Finally
, spring is in the air!  The grass is greener, birds are singing and it?s time for spring cleaning!  Sometimes the toughest part of spring cleaning is getting started.  So, here are a few tips to help get you started:

- Make a list of all the chores you plan to tackle.

- Make an inventory of your cleaning products, decide what you need to complete each chore and only make one trip to the store.

- When you begin, attack your hardest chores first.

- Always clean top to bottom.

- Take all your cleaning tools from room to room; avoiding unnecessary trips back and forth.

- Use old socks as mitts for cleaning difficult wood work and blinds.

- Don?t try to do everything in one day.

*Remember your coupons ? there are lots of them out there for cleaning solutions, supplies and paper products that will save you money this time of year!

While cleaning, eliminate clutter by donating toys and clothing to a shelter in your area.  It gives you a great feeling to give to those less fortunate.  These donations are tax deductible and most shelters will provide you the form you will need.  Also, cleaning is much more tolerable if you enjoy your experience.  Try these tips to make your cleaning days more enjoyable.

-
Unplug the phone and turn off the TV.
- Turn on your favorite music.
- Open the windows.
- Have a few light, energy-packed snacks so that you can nibble through the process. *Remember to use coupons for the snacks!

Staying abreast of your cleaning projects can save you time and money.
Happy Spring and Happy Cleaning!

A Note From Amy...

If you are a mother of a preschooler, check out MOPS.

Their stated mission is this...MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban, and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single, and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy to kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

Their website provides a search tool to find MOPS in your local area as well as resources, forums, events and membership information.

I am a mother of 2 preschool age children and am active in a group here in Georgia.  I look forward to the meetings twice a month since it gives me the opportunity to connect with other moms.  My children look forward to the meetings as well since the MOPPETS program provides an incredible curriculum for the kids while the Moms are in the MOPS meeting.  The crafts, music and programming is creative, inspiring and designed for the children to have as much fun as Mom.

Happy St. Patrick's Day and Easter!

I wanted to tell you how much I love my new Couponizer. I consider myself somewhat of a coupon novice, but I am learning quickly, and the Couponizer is a HUGE help! I feel so organized now. No longer do I annoy my husband in the market by having to stop in the middle of an aisle to have him hold my purse while I shuffle repeatedly through a stack of coupons crying, "Where did it go??? I KNOW I had one for cat food!"

Now I even have got his interest. The other day I was looking through a flyer for a store I don't usually shop at. My husband was walking by, glanced down at it and pointed out that a certain product I have a dollar off-coupon for was sold for a dollar less at this other store. "If you bring the coupon to that store, you'd save two dollars" he said. I hadn't even noticed that, and was so impressed that he was getting involved that I almost fell off my chair.

Anyway, a few days ago, I brought the Couponizer shopping with me for the first time. We were only picking up a few small items that we needed, but still I was prepared. The grocery total only came to $26.56, but of that I saved $8.18 with my coupons! That's over 30%! Two items I even got free. I can't wait to see how much I save when I do my major grocery shopping. My husband now calls me "The Couponator". Thanks so much for a fantastic product. Now I look forward to each shopping trip big or small, just to see how much I'll save!
