Greetings!
This month, we're excited to announce GiFT, Giving For Tomorrow! This new, subscription-based donation program allows donors to choose a monthly donation amount, set it, and forget it! As so many individuals know, it's tough living from paycheck to paycheck - and the same thing applies to the rescue world. So, most importantly, these monthly GiFT donations will provide much-needed, predictable funds to help us know we can keep helping new dogs and still provide top notch care for existing dogs in the group. Owing to your generosity last year, we were able to rescue dogs like Sassy, pictured above, who came in with heartworms and cataracts. This lovely girl was desperate for a chance at a new life and, thanks to OBG, her foster home and generous folks like you, she is now cleared for adoption! We are incredibly grateful for your support and hope that, through the GiFT program, there will be many more "Happy Tails" in the making in 2012! - Beth PS - I'm asking for your votes, starting Monday 5/7, for an essay I wrote on being a responsible dog owner. Fosters Needed!
Meet Butter! This cutie was surrendered to a local shelter with her father, Sheen, and sister, Rosie. Sheen and Rosie are in foster homes so Rosie is wondering "When is it my turn?" To answer her question, please contact us! If this dog isn't right for your home, we always have other dogs ready to be sprung from the kennel. April Adoptions: 17 Dogs including Vixen!
 Vixen endured life saving heartworm treatment and underwent surgery to remove bladder stones. Now she's living her dream with her forever family! We wish Vixen and her family many years of happiness and health together!

Sadly, it has been a very difficult month and we had to say goodbye to foster dogs Annie, Doogie, Maddie, Mason and Polo who passed over to the Rainbow Bridge this month.
