Greetings!

A message from our Program Director

For the past year I have had the privilege of supporting our tutors as Tutor Coordinator, and can tell you firsthand that they are amazing men and women who are changing lives for the better every day in our community!  I will be combining the duties of Tutor Coordinator with that of Program Director for the coming year, and promise to continue passionately supporting our tutors and students, while sharing with the community our Literacy Council mission of providing free, individualized, one-on-one tutoring to low-level adult readers in Anne Arundel County.

We have a very exciting year ahead of us at the Literacy Council! Please call or email to introduce yourself, as well as share any ideas, questions, suggestions, etc. you may have concerning our Literacy Council.

I look forward to hearing from you!

AACLC Announces New Student Coordinator
New Student Coordinator

 Pranjal Katwala

(pranjal.student.coordinator@gmail.com) is our new Student Coordinator.  Pranjal will follow our students from the initial contact through "graduation", and will arrange for student assessments.

A big "Thank you!" to Judy Smallwood for the incredible work she has done as Student Coordinator this past year.  She has modernized our student recordkeeping, and has thoroughly and meticulously shared her record keeping system and resources with Pranjal, while providing ongoing advice and support to her for the past six weeks.  Fortunately for our Literacy Council, Judy will continue as a student assessor for us!
