Networking counts! Many of you belong to more than one Networking organization, and this is so good for your business. Having the opportunity to network and party with professionals from all of the organizations is fabulous.
In both Portland and Seattle, all of the event industry associations come together to host one holiday event. In Portland it is the Gala, and in Seatlle it is the JAM. Join us for WNUSA Portland's last meeting of 2011. We'll focus on the latest insight into the vast world of social media. Are your social media efforts being maximized? Is your time spent on social media well received and generating business? Experts from the consultation firm Social Media Handlers will help us focus on which social media outlets perform best for our industry and offer strategic tips on how to optimize our presence and gain valuable exposure to the right clients.
Geranium Lake's incredible new space will graciously host our group, and the culinary artists at Food In Bloom Catering have a wonderful dinner menu planned. Nora Sheils with Bridal Bliss is the host coordinator and has promised a beautiful space with many unique touches.
We will also be collecting donations for raffle baskets for this year's Portland Gala (more details below). If you would like to contribute an overnight hotel stay, gift certificate, chocolates, etc., please bring it to the meeting and we will get it to the Gala committee.
Contributing Wedding Professionals: Parking: Pay to park in the US Bank Tower (entrance on 5th at Pine), at the lot on 5th & Oak, or on the street.

Our October networking meeting was filled with so much positive energy! Red Star Tavern at Hotel Monaco together with meeting coordinator Kami Aguilar of WedPortland planned a wonderful night of networking, education, great food and prizes! Amore Fiori had the room dazzling with beautiful floral,  SJ Dessert Company prepared a huge, over-flowing dessert buffet of various gluten-free and dairy-free items, and Black Label Event Films combed the room and prepared a great video montage for us all to enjoy. (See the video on our Facebook page.) Part way through the evening, Maureen Haley, Portland wedding officiant, shared her tools to finding success and visibility on Wedding Wire. I think we all went home and applied at least one or two tips to improving our Wedding Wire exposure. The evening capped off with a drawing; Red Star Tavern graciously donated a $50 gift certificate to the restaurant, and Hotel Monaco donated an overnight stay!
