Summer Recap
|  In summer, most people think BBQ's, naps under the sun, weekend's of leisure, but not us! Summer means busy season! For our July meeting, we decided to break from the "craze" of it all, and enjoy the summer past time of baseball.
We took a mid-summer season stretch at the Mariners vs Oakland game hosted at Safeco Field. It was great to come gather with friends and colleagues on a gorgeous sunny day. Did you know that Safeco Field hosts lots of weddings and events of all kinds, not just sports games? Jill Hashimoto, Director of Marketing, explained all the ways Safeco could entertain or host your next client. She has also agreed to host us again in February 2012 for a more formal meeting to really showcase the wedding and corporate events side of things. They have many rooms, and catering options to meet all needs. Stay tuned for that one!
Anyhow, we mingled in the Ellis Pavilion "pre-game" style over beer, hot dogs, popcorn, and all the baseball food favorites. After a brief meeting we all took our Mariner's blue foam fingers onward and upwards to the Terrace Club for our amazing seats with a grand view of the field.
Thank you to Rebecca Ellison Photography for capturing our team spirit and all the fun moments from the evening. Rebecca was able to manage a camera and a beer while cheering next to me waving a foam finger everywhere...an absolute professional, that girl! Thanks to all who attended and took a much needed break during the hectic summer wedding season.

Recap from Last Month - Member Appreciation
|  Our 2nd annual Membership Appreciation meeting was a chance for our members to kickback and showcase what they have done this past year! It was a beautiful evening spent at the Seattle Aquarium! Our guests and members started off on the patio enjoying our late summer weather, then moved indoors and wandered throughout the event space, checking out the vendor displays and aquarium. The Seattle Aquarium provided the fabulous food stations throughout the venue and once again we ate sushi with the fishes in the Dome Room! Josh with Flipped Out Entertainment and Didier with GameTruck provided the fun and our membership committee, Laura Marchbanks and Jillian Cook, provided the passport and networking games. I hope you all had a great time and it is a meeting that you will continue to look forward to in the coming years!
