Position Profile:
The First Christian Church of Dalhart, TX is searching for a full-time Senior Minister to be responsible for equipping the congregation by Scriptural preaching, teaching, and personal example. He must be a Christian man, full of faith, devoted to God and committed to serve Christ and His church. He must have a degree from a Bible College affiliated with Christian Churches/Churches of Christ and have exceptional interpersonal skills, strong administrative and teaching skills and support and respect the Restoration Movement's approach to the Holy Scriptures. Position will be available around June 1, 2012.
Church Profile:
First Christian Church was established in 1904 and has about 130 members with the average Sunday morning attendance of around 75 people. The town of Dalhart is a small community of about 8,000 people located in the northwest corner of the Texas Panhandle. Doctrinal Position: First Christian Church believes that Jesus Christ is Lord and the Divine Son of God. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. The plan of salvation as revealed in the Word of God is faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, repentance of sin, public confession and faith in Jesus Christ, immersion into Christ for the remission of sin and living the Christian life.
Job Description:
The Senior Minister's primary responsibilities include:
* Being faithful to God, Christ and the Scriptures.
* Preaching the word in accordance with the Scriptures.
* Make disciples by bringing people under the Lordship and salvation of Jesus Christ.
* Teach God's Word and guard the church from both false and irrelevant teaching.
* Maintain an attitude of a compassionate servant while meeting the spiritual needs of the flock.

Minister, Seven Mile Post Road Church of Christ

The Seven Mile Post Road church is searching for a minister to work with our congregation. We are a grace-centered church of Christ, relying on God's Word for our guidance, believing His Son to be the one and only Savior, and trusting His Spirit to work in and through us. We recognize individual and congregational liberty and freedom, walking in the old paths in new ways. We are interested to find a godly man who loves people and can work with our church family. Primary responsibilities would include teaching God's Word both at church services and home bible studies to promote individual spiritual growth, and outreach to both members and our local community to cultivate relationships, with a secondary responsibility of delivering timely sermons to foster spiritual development. We are located in Athens, AL, about 7 miles west of Athens. Our Sunday morning attendance averages 180 members, with four elders and twelve deacons serving the congregation.
