The holidays are a time for enjoying family, friends, and the festive spirit of the season. When I opened Balfour's first community in 1997, I had the vision of a unique place where residents and families could feel right at home. A community where everyone would enjoy their time together in a warm, welcoming place and continue to create wonderful memories.

The source of my vision and inspiration for Balfour was my mother Madeline, and my desire was to create an elegant and active community that would have engaged and delighted her. I know that Balfour has become exactly the community my mother would have loved. I'd like to share the rest of Madeline's story with you.
