Look for the Hamilton Chamber's Panorama insert in todHam Spec Busay's (August 1) The Hamilton Spectator's Hamilton Business Magazine. This month's edition includes an article entitled "Innovations in Healthcare II - The eHealth Landscape" - written by Doug Ward, a member of the Chamber's Innovation and Technology Committee and is a follow up to the July 4 article; and a report about the Chamber's Renew Hamilton initiative, authored by Richard Allen.  Panorama also provides an update on the July activities of our Divisions and Committees and welcomes new members who joined the Chamber in July.

Kids and Company: New Hamilton Chamber Member Kids and   Company is having it's Grand Opening today at 701 Main Street West from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. please join us in welcoming them to Hamilton. If unable to attend today they will be having Open Houses on August 2, 3, 7, 8 & 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

The Hamilton Chamber would like to thank Rapscallion Rogue Eatery (61 Young Street) for hosting the July Business after   Business last week - members were treated to a great evening of food, wine and networking.

Hamilton Port 100  Hamilton Port Authority: A Century in Pictures is on display at the Jean and Ross Fischer Gallery at the Art Gallery of Hamilton from July 28 until October 14, 2012. Admission to the exhibition is free, courtesy of Orlick Industries. Visit artgalleryofhamilton.com for visitor information. This exhibition celebrates the Hamilton Port Authority's 100th anniversary. More than 50 photographs and canvases are on display, telling the story of the port's central role in Hamilton's growth and prosperity through the decades. The collection offers perspectives on Hamilton at work and play, and salutes the city's diverse industrial and natural heritage, past and present. The Port of Hamilton is the largest Canadian port on the Great Lakes in terms of both size and cargo handled.

 

Staybridge Suites Hotel:  New Hamilton Chamber member   Staybridge Suites Hotel is opening this week, adding a beautifully appointed long-term stay hotel property to the downtown and to Hamilton's accommodation industry.  The Chamber would like to thank and congratulate Vrancor Developments for investing in Hamilton.  Staybridge Suites will be hosting the Hamilton Chamber's August Business after Business on Thursday August 23, from 5:30-7:30pm.
