Hamilton Chamber hosting Canadian Chamber of Commerce annual conference

 

 

From September 20-25, the Hamilton Chamber will play host Chamber to the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce annual conferences (please mark your calendars!).  Check out www.hamiltonccc2012.ca for information as well as www.chamber.ca.  Both sites will be updated on a continuous basis up until the conference.  Look to future Pipeline e-newsletters on ways that you can participate in the conference.  The Hamilton Chamber would like to thank our members who have invested in sponsorships for the conference - they are acknowledged on the Hamiltonccc2012.ca website and more sponsors are being added each week.

Carstar nominated for RBC Royal Bank Small Business award for Ontario Business Achievement Award

 
Congratulations to Hamilton Chamber member CARSTAR on their selection as a finalist for the OBAA RBC Royal Bank Small Business award at the Ontario Business Achievement Awards (OBAA). The winners will be announced on October 24 at the Awards ceremony at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Business Link Newspaper seeking nominees for Top 40 under 40

 

The Business Link will be honouring 40 businesspeople under 40 years of age (as of September 1, 2012) who are making their mark in the Greater Hamilton and Halton communities through business success, community involvement and charitable work.  The nomination deadline is August 1, 2012.

Progressive Conservative Small Business and Red Tape Critic Todd Smith will be in Hamilton on July 25th to discuss the current business climate in Ontario. Smith will be taking questions from local business owners and gathering ideas on how to change Ontario's regulatory culture and promote business growth. The Small Business Critic will also be talking about the latest PC White Paper, Flexible Labour Markets, and how we can reform Ontario's outdated labour laws to make businesses more competitive.
