In the sixth installment of the Organic 101 series, Miles McEvoy explains the role of the National Organic Standards Board in helping to shape the organic standards. Regardless of whether these dedicated volunteers work for non-profit organizations, cooperatives, small operations, or large companies, their willingness to serve demonstrates a real commitment to the organic community.

The NOP is seeking nominations for an environmentalist/ resource conservationist to serve on the NOSB beginning 2013. Applications are being collected up to July 30, 2012.
